Bald eagle. They can soar (like others have said), they don’t really have to worry about predators, and they are federally protected (at least in the US). Granted, people don’t always follow the rules.

A horse. Probably a Wild one. Although if I wasn't a wild horse, I think being a barrel racing horse or a bucking horse for a Rodeo would be cool.
