As much as I dislike Canonical I have found Ubuntu based distros to be the best in terms of working well.

Oh, I hated standard Ubuntu. It just doesn't have the options I like.

What desktop environment do you use on Arch? I use Kubuntu, so the obvious DE I use is KDE.

I use KDE as well! My all time favorite is enlightenment but to get that where I want to will require tweaking that I don't want to deal with atm

Regardless of what distro it is I've never had a smooth experience printing ANYTHING on Linux. Printing has won the title of "most hated task on Linux" in my book. For some reason my Mom's laptop with Mint installed can print just fine. My computer here? Nope. Won't print, blah blah blah .

KDE really got me with the keyboard shortcuts and high customizability. I use it in mostly stock config except I've set it to dark mode, changed the theme's color to #A6D389, and added a plugin for a video wallpaper on my lockscreen.

Enlightenment is one of the ones I really like in terms of eyecandy but wouldn't use on a main PC because of the amount of tweaking and other stuff I'd have to deal with to get it to work right.

I rarely print stuff from the PC but when I do it's a pain if it doesn't behave.

We have 2 print shops and a library nearby, I'd rather just spend the 50¢ to print on the very rare occasions I do need to print something

Spouse says Fedora prints well. I have issues 100% of the time with Ubuntu.
