Yes. The dishwasher we have is 45 years old. About 5-6 years ago, it stopped filling, so I have to pour water into it at the beginning of each cycle. At first that was a royal pain. Now I use the time to wash the pans/hand wash only stuff, or to read a book while I wait for the next cycle.

Barring some catastrophe, I refuse to ever again live in a house without a dishwasher. Of all chores, washing dishes is the worst. There's almost nothing else I wouldn't rather be doing.

No dishwasher in my kitchen. While I sometimes find it difficult to get motivated to do the dishes, once I start, it becomes sort of relaxing. I don't really hate that chore.

Now if there was an automatic bathroom washer. . .
