Yes, had a darkroom, developed film and prints.

The freedom of digital is such an improvement. Take 15 or 20 shots, no problem about film cost or worst running out, instant gratification with a chance to take one more..

No, but my first cameras had film that I had to take to Walmart to get them developed.

Yes. I developed film in college: 35 mm B&W, color negative, slide film; 4x5 B&W, color negative, and chrome (didn't call them slides when they were that size). I printed the color and B&W in college and at work when I worked at a photo lab.

I also did the dye transfer process in college, which was a whole 'nother ball of wax. IIRC, that included: 4x5 chrome film, 4x5 B&W film, and the 8x10 matrix film. The paper for the print was NOT light sensitive.
