I wear hiking boots all the time. During the winter I'll pull out my winter boots, but the snow has finally left enough to get back into my hiking boots again. They're waterproof, so they're excellent when working around the farm.

coop shoes
garden shoes
winter boots (about to go into their box till next winter)
"everywhere else" work boots that look nice enough to wear almost anywhere.
