For the Princess, it's not a vacation unless someone makes her bed. I don't camp. Used to love camping as a kid.

We tent camped for a whole month on our way to New Orleans, up to Trinidad CO, to Salt Lake City, and back home to SD. It was really fun and pretty cheap.

We used to go backpacking for a week or two nearly every year. Hubby is thinking of going to Pictured Rocks this spring. I can't take sleeping on the ground anymore, and can't carry 45 pounds on my back either.

Since it's really quiet out here, I have no need to "get away from the veritable crush of humanity" anymore.
