HI!

I love thunderstorms. I’ve many times scared my parents by going and sitting outside in the field so I can see it better. The only scary part is when it’s summer and there’s no rain, because one thunderstorm can and does cause literally hundreds of small fires.

The more violent the more I like them especially after dark. Have seen transformers hit by bolts of lightning, intense color as it burns. Had a bolt hit a tall pine next to my shop which entered and blew the radio up and left burn marks across the vinyl flooring, fortunately I was at work.
We had four 200 year old Oaks very near our house. They were approximately 58' tall, they were always getting hit by lightning. One of the Oaks fell, I guess it really tipped over. The county highway department removed it from the road. They said it was the third tree that went down that week with burnt roots due to lightning strikes.
