Yes, I prefer it too, cos it’s supposed to get more milage out of a car ( if driven correctly) only time I wished I had an automatic was while I had my total hip replacements , that would have made driving much easier ( and earlier) , and also whenever I drive a rental in a county where I have to drive on the left side of the road

I had a tough time learning but I can drive a stick pretty well now.

Of course, what I learned on at about age 8. My first car was automatic, but my second one at the ripe old age of 14 was 4 speed manual. Several other vehicles have been straight. I can drive anything that is drivable.

I did. I got the first one at 12. We lived out of the city so I could drive it around on backroads. Then, when I was about 14 1/2 and starting high school is when I got the second one. I was raised by my Dad who was a contractor and couldn't always be there to get me to school and to all my sports practices. The car was to get me to those. But, I went everywhere in it. I did pay for them myself, though. I worked on one of his crews in the summer and whenever I was out of school starting at age 11. I had motorcycles also and before I had the cars. He bought those for me.

Yes….my first vehicle was an ‘83 s-10 with 4 on the floor
And I ride motorcycles

Are they always this jerky/rough riding? LOL just rode in one. Don’t think I would again. It was a Jeep Wrangler if that makes a difference lol
