question om hatching

Did you hand turn them or auto turn? What kind of incubator do you have?

I now have

I am so excited....I have a 15 dozen cabinet that my Daddy bought my kids 20 years ago I have never done anything to it except every 3 years I replace both wafers....
I put them in just like chicken eggs we have a auto turner....small end down started with 29 eggs 24 went into the hatcher....it is the first time with peacock eggs I bought them off craigs list...I am worse than a kid at christmas

so a medicated chick starter or a medicated game chick starter

20 % TO 24 % Starter like turkey or gamebird, but no higher than 24% . I only fed the 24% to 6 weeks ,then 20%

thank you this morning is the 28th day and I woke up and have 2 mor pipping the others are not pipping yet but will keep them for 34 days I am so excited

Okay I have ended the day with 11 pea chicks out of 24 eggs the other 13 eggs show no signs of pipping one pea chick is weak with a gooey navel.....we have had a really fun day with them...they are in a pen with a peat moss floor gamebird starter and water and 3 teacher chicks we were playing tug o war with them and blades of grass...so funny we then put a few blades of grass in the water dish and they pecked at it and got water! all in all its been a exciting first day for them and us.....

and we are all ready for bed

Okay we have had no mpre pips today but one pea chicks belly didnt completly go up it has a pea size dried scab on its belly button it seems okay but I am afraid to put it in with the rest..I have given it water and it drinks and is happy to see me but is weak seems to be getting stronger but do they live if they dont suck up all the belly stuff?
