I agree. Colorful personalities too. You're welcome. Easter Eggers aren't technically a breed but they sure are colorful and often beautiful.

Perhaps you are speaking of a bred that comes in Crele? You are not going to find a regular black barred rooster and a black breasted red hen being recognized as the same color variety for a breed. That would never bred true.Am I mistaken, or is there a breed that the rooster looks similar to a Dominique but the hen looks like a brown leghorn or a Dutch hen? And they both have very large single combs? I looked through the BYC breed section, but didn't find anything that matched what I'm thinking of.
okay, thanks.Perhaps you are speaking of a bred that comes in Crele? You are not going to find a regular black barred rooster and a black breasted red hen being recognized as the same color variety for a breed. That would never bred true.
Only thing I can think of are one of the auto sexing breeds, like a Bielefelder, Rhodebar, CCL, something like that. The hens are indeed barred in those breeds, but it's much more subtle on the non-black base color.Am I mistaken, or is there a breed that the rooster looks similar to a Dominique but the hen looks like a brown leghorn or a Dutch hen? And they both have very large single combs? I looked through the BYC breed section, but didn't find anything that matched what I'm thinking of.
