Question on breeding rabbits

Because of all the demand for lionheads a couple years ago - all the ones around here are poor quality - they look like tribbles and are skittish due to poor socialization and poor choice of breeding pairs- I would love to see quality lionheads... the biggest problem with rabbits is that its SO easy to get 'a' breeding pair instead 'the' breeding pair. I wish you luck- I would ask on the lh boards what the current health problems are (ear infection chance in lops, blindness in... wait forgot what type that was - some English breed, temperament issues in NE dwarfs) and ask the breeder about the line.

Just like dog's papers, papered rabbits don't necessarily make good breeders, there is so much more to breeding then papers.

Myself I rescued two mutt rabbits that have the worlds best temperaments and although they are both does they'll likely get fixed if Dr Hart thinks they are at risk for uterine infection or cancer.
