Hi all... I have a flock of Hmong chickens... that have been selected to be silvers rather than golds for a number of generations. The Birchen gene is common in the flock, as is lacing. In addition some birds are predominantly white.
In any event, occasionally, not often... a laced brown-gray bird appears... so far in my experience all have been hens... before i consider crosses i was wondering if anyone had any guesses as to colors (genetically speaking).
The photos are all hatchmates... from a cross of black birchen cock bird and several hens (one this gray brown laced color, some solid black, some mostly white). The first pic is the gray brown pullet in question. (please ignore the marans photobombing in pic 2).
Any thoughts appreciated!
Thx Jeff
