ok i have some eggs from a friend that i am going to try and hatch the roosters are two doms and then theres 2 barred rocks and a dom hen in the pen as they are for sell (there is no fighting or anything no feather plucking from matting nothing whats so ever hens have to be with roosters or the roosters will fight). i was woundering if they could be sexed by the headspot or the slate wash down the front of the chicks legs?

Any barred color of chicken can be sexed as a chick by the size of the white headspot, yes. Any crossing of a barred x non-barred as well.

with the exception of Wheaten; - the chicks will be too yellow to tell

Yep, here's some pics for you to use to compare. These are pure barred rocks that I hatched. This method may not be 100% especially if you haven't seen many of them to compare, but for the most part :

Males have a larger headspot, frosted backs, and yellow legs.

And females have smaller headspots, solid backs, and darker legs.

i have seen the pics of head spots but i always forget which way it goes lol

so lager head spot = male
small head spot = female

is that right? i know its not 100% but it does help some
