Here is the baby in question:

We've had Faith for 3 weeks now, she (he?) was naked and tiny at the time.

Pin feathers are finally starting to grow in now.

The "breeder" aka jerk told me she was 12 weeks old on Nov 17th, yeah RIIIIIGHT!

This baby still peeps and squeaks and fits in the palm of my hand!

She/he has really weak legs at the moment and a limp, so it's bed-rest inside the house until all is OK again.

So... what age could Faith be?

Girl? Boy?

I'd say 6 to 7 weeks, though I'm no expert on EEs.
His name is Apollo. The god of healing.

That young...? Oh my gosh!

I feel like such a bad momma for not noticing how young he was when I brought him home, and still not having a clue

Tomorrow he starts getting scrambled eggs and goodies with his chick crumbles, it's a good thing I bought a bag when I brought him home.

Sigh.

Does it ever get easier?

That poor little thing is sure slow at growing its feathers, unless maybe the feathers had been pulled out by other chicks at its previous home. I'd guess 6-7 weeks also, maybe 8 (it looks about 4-5 weeks old in the first pictures, but doesn't look much older than that in the pic three weeks later. I can't tell yet whether it's a pullet or cockerel.

This is one of my EE pullets at about 6-7 weeks old:

These are some more of my EEs from a different batch at 8 weeks of age (the larger 4 in the back are the EEs):
