Hello I am currently installing a computer fan in my 1602 still air incubator. The question I have is which direction am I suppose to blow the air? Directly down on top of the eggs or up aganist the top and let it circulate around from the top to the bottom???
Any help greatly appreciated!!

Up against the top, pulling air from the bottom of the bator toward the top

Thank you so much.

Also forgot to ask if I place it over a hole in the top so some air can be pushed out of the top or make sure there is no hole behind the fan in the top of the bator so no air goes out?
Sorry for not posting this earlier

Anybody???????

I wouldn't put it where the hole is but make sure it has a little space between the top and the fan so it can circulate good. The hole I use to add water with a tube on lockdown. Hope that helps

Thank you all SO much! You have been SO helpful, especially for the pics.

They really put things into perspective for me.
Once again my friends on BYC have come to my rescue!

God bless you all!

I am a "Have to see it" kind of person...lol! If I don't see it, I have a hard time picturing it!

Oh and that is a piece of screen I added to protect the babies from the spinning fan blades! BYC member Serrin recommended that and after seeing my babies with their heads on the screen, I was very thankful for her sharing that with me!

You are very welcome

In this pic, you can see an arrow pointing to a little grey sheet metal slug that pivots over the hole where the fan is (that is blowing upwards against the top / which means out through the hole where the other red plug was). You'd be surprised to know how much difference it makes in the temp and humidity just by rotating the slug to block the hole 1/3 of the way, 1/2 the way, all the way......... I have the other red plug in, and the top is weighted down good, so there's no cracks for ambient air to come in except the little air holes that were intentionally put in when the top was molded.
