The vents I have are all in the eves and peeks of the coop. There are none on the floor. I didn't know you needed them there.

I looked at the picture I think I see some soffit vents. But I do not see any other vents. Have your husband cut in some ridge vents and you should have a nice setup. You also can't go wrong by installing something that monitors the humidity level inside your coop.

The soffit areas look to be covered with perforated material and might not be allowing enough airflow. Some pics of coop from inside, please.

If your run is really predator proof, leave that door open, and wrap the LOWER part of your run with one or two layers of (nearly) clear plastic sheeting, to block the wind.
If the run isn't totally safe at night, close the door and increase your coop ventilation, overhead.

No, you don't need a draft in the coop you only need enough open ventilation high up for the moist air to mingle with dryer air and escape. Moist air rises as it it lighter than dry air, that's why clouds are up high...

I just edited my post; it's the lower part of the run to shield, and leave the upper part open for ventilation!
