So I'm thinking about switching to the "Nipple Watering System" in Spring and using a heated waterer in the Winter But I have a question about it.

Do the chickens just automatically learn how to use or do you have to teach them how to use it?

Would I just use a normal waterer when I put pullets that aren't quite big enough to reach the Nipple waterer and if I do will the older hens start using the regular waterer and forget how to use the Nipple Waterer

    Thanks,Collin

My chickens learned how to use it but you have to keep an eye to make sure everyone is getting a drink so you don't loose any. I put in cup waters. Like nipples but have a small cup and my chickens actually preferred that to there fountain water.
