Question on turkey breeds?

I ordered an assortment of purebred turkeys back in May from Porter turkeys. In the batch I received some red palms. Is this a recognized breed or is it just something thats working its way to it? Has anyone had them before? I assume meat wise they'd be similar to a royal palm but not sure.

I doubt that you will ever see them in the APA as they don't breed true. With most of the fancy colors when you breed them you get some of this and some of that. Kevin can give you a break down of what the off spring would be.
