Question on what to add to water for new chicks

Hello! New to the world of chicks and have a question. My chicks were shipped last night from Murray’s and I am anxiously awaiting the call from the post office. The Murray website said to add sugar to the water. I also ordered Quik Chick. My question is do I still add the sugar or do I just add the Quik Chick?

well If it were me I would give them a really shallow bowl so they do not drown. Like a Tupperware lid

They really don't need anything but the poultry vitamin does help them get over the shipping. I recommend making a mash out of the chick feed by adding water and warming it a tad, bit easier to digest.

I have a regular waterer and will put marbles in it.

I assume the Quik Chick is just a vitamin and/or electrolyte supplement for the water? I'd offer that for maybe the first 48 hours or so, just to help them get through shipping stress, and then they should be good on plain water if all goes well.
