Hi everyone, I took my 4-week-olds outside yesterday for a little field trip. It was sunny and about 76. Two chicks immediately began panting. I wondered if they might do this out of fear? I can't imagine they were too hot, although the sun was bright. Could this be a reaction to such warm, bright sun?
Thanks!

I'd be sure they can always get to some shade and have access to water. They should be fine

I had my 5 week old girls out last weekend. It wasn't hot and the breeze was a bit cool but they would lay down and lift a wing as they panted. I suppose they were hot which surprised me and my wife.
