Question re; partridge cochin feathering...help!

For those of you who have raise partridge cochins...when does the feathering of the roo change from the partridge look to solid??

I sold a BYC member a partridge thinking/hoping it was a pullet...still not sure at 7 weeks.

Looks to me like a girl, my boy wasn't so brown....he had more black on him.
