Question regarding silkie mixes

A friend asked me to hatch some of my eggs for her. They allow their chickens to free range and roost in the rafters of their barn. It occurred to me that might be an issue since my rooster is a silkie. What are the chances these chicks will be able to fly? Possible hens are polish, OEGB, d'uccles, sebright.

Silkie crosses always come out hard feathered so they'll be able to fly up to the roost at night, no worries

Yep x2. It's only if those crosses are bred with a silkie or each other that you'll get the silkie feathers back.
