i have a silkie baby about 7 weeks old. it looks like a boy already... is that possible? it has a little comb area thats a dark grey... low blue on the cheeks. is that a sign its a boy??? :-(

Can you post a clear close-up photo of the chick's face? Head on, so we can see the comb? A boy will have a more prominent comb...

Silkies are notoriously hard to sex at early ages, and sometimes even later.

I think the low blue that you are seeing is its earlobe. Silkies have turquoise earlobes.
