Question: Vent Sexing Waterfowl..

A real pic would be great. There were some on a different thread, but were so dark I couldn't quite see everything. According to the drawing above ( I have the same in a book) mine are all girls. LOL. Again, I am doubtful.

This is a male gosling, 2 days old. In the middle you can see sort of a transparent worm like thing.

Its so hard to get good pictures.

I believe so. Everything kind of poofs out as far as it seems like it should. Looks just like the pics of girl vents that I have seen. I've taken my time, not too long of corse, but have given some time with everything out and exposed to see if one was hiding, and nothing. But really don't believe that out of 10 there wouldn't be a single boy. So, though I think I have done it right, I must not be. Errr. I may have to try again. I figured once I saw a boy I would know. From all the drawings, it looks kind of obvious. Maybe I should try and get a pic, so that you can see if I am truly seeing genital eminence.

I CAN'T SEE IT! LOL. I have been studing this pic for like 5min with my mother and we can't see it. My FOUR year old comes and sits down, she's not even in on the conversation, points at the pic and says, "see that little pointy thing? That means its a boy." and continues to eat her chocolate like its nothing!! LMAO, and

at the same time! What is wrong with me!!!!

I thought that too, was sure on several geese that I had girls, by the next year it was obvious they were boys and they were "holding it in"! CRUD! I raised and fed several more ganders than I need!
