AmerIcanas aren't a thing. They are just a stupid name used by hatcheries to label their Easter Eggers because people that don't know any better don't catch that Ameraucana is the proper spelling, which you have failed to use once in this entire thread. They most assuredly are Easter Eggers.
Then how does anyone own an Americana? That may sound like a stupid question but ppl get chicks from hatcheries usually and I know that people get americanas from hatcheries
How do people own them? Because they buy a mislabled bird and don't do the research to educate themselves on what they actually have. Just like every Tom, Dick, and Harry that can't spell Orpington, Marans, or Faverolles properly.

Yes, according to the Ameraucana Breed Club and the American Poultry Association, if you cross, let's say, Black Ameraucanas with Buff Amerauacanas, even though they are technically pure Ameraucanas because they don't fit the breed/variety Standard of Perfection, they are Easter Eggers.
I have an adult Americauna that fits every standard, maybe the hatchery stepped up its game

Since Americauna is a bastardized form of Ameraucana I very seriously doubt that the hatchery or you have purebred Ameraucana. If you did, you would take pride in distancing yourself from the mutts that lay colored eggs. Unless she fits one of the accepted varieties established by the Club and the APA, she's an Easter Egger. No matter if she was purchased as an "Americana".
