how do you go from "new egg" to just hatched and so on? also when do you get a little chicken beside your post on the forum?....

I think it has something to do with how long you have been on BYC and how many posts you do. But...being just a "chillin with my chickens"...I am not really sure so I would love to hear the responses also!

The title under your username changes as the number of posts you have increases.
The little chick appears next to threads that have new posts since you last logged onto that thread.
