What makes a barred rock roo different than a BSL roo?

Black Sex link cockerels/roosters only carry 1 barring gene, look darker, & often have gold, red, or cream leakage. Some may have little to no leakage.

Barred rock cockerels/Roosters are double Barred, look lighter, & show non of the other characteristics listed with the sex links.

Another thing is the black sex link is a mixed breed.

Yes, I have 22 bsl pullets but never a roo, just heard that they were barred and more on the white side. I am slowly familiarizing myself with the hybrids bc I want to breed my RIR roosters with my white leghorns for RSLs, and since I love BSLs I want to get some BR hens to breed with the as well.

Now that I look up the pictures I see a clear difference. BSL cockerels are very pretty
