I have 4 month old chicks and I was wondering if I let them free range with the older chickens? Right now they have their own little pen where they can go outside and are seperate from the older chickens. I'm not worried about the older hens bugging the babies, I'm worried about the roosters bugging them. So, is it OK, to let the babies free range with the older chickens now?

Thanks for any help!

I let my chickens mix at about 12 weeks of age - just keep an eye on your roos. Mine "head roo" is very, very good with the little ones. He does not allow the older cockerels to pick on the younger cockerels plus he will call the chicks to feed them (course the older girls flock to him also).
