I decided I needed a chicken log, so started making notes. I think I may have a problem; four of my chickens were born 2/23 and one 2/30. Concord Feed said they would all be fine together and it worked out well. Then I got two more. They were born 3/15 and are being kept separate from the "big girls". What's going to happen when I try to add them to the coop? Do I need a second coop? Why, oh why, don't I think of these things first!

In a few more weeks when they are all closer to the same size they can all go in the same coop with no problem. Hopefully others will chime in, but after the birds were asleep for the night, I moved them in together and they all woke up without any problems. Good luck!

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

Put your birds somewhere that they can see each other - like having the younger ones in a cage inside the coop - for a few days before you let them run together. I also mix my birds up after dark.
