Question

Quote: I don't think you will be disappointed. They are a melding of several of the breeds you would be looking at if you want both a meat and an egg chicken. But in Chanties you have them both in one bird. Let us know how it works out for you

Lmao! 99.9% of Americans wouldn't have any clue what color feathers the chicken on the plate had. Even the skin is a fad that seems to have disappeared. Everything seems to be boneless and skinless. **** Americans don't know what real meat is anymore!

Hi redrooster99,
This goes back in history to the differences and samenesses between the English and the American cultures. In England, they love their white skinned poultry for the table. The white feathers were preferred on both continents because if any pin feathers remained on the dressed bird, the white ones didn't show up as much. Americans like yellow skinned poultry with white feathers.
In cultures with heavy English culture, it may be they prefer the white skinned birds.
Best,
Karen
