It would be non-recognized breed and variety. And, you should send a copy of the standard to the show manager before the show and let him know that you are making it available to the Judges if they would like to see it. I don't know if amazondoc has the posted a proposed Blue Copper standard yet on the MCC site, but if so, I would send it or bring it with you to give to them before the show. I don't think the French have one.

We do have a draft color standard for the blue copper -- but keep in mind that those are liable to change a bit over time!

If you go to a show with ANY Marans, make sure you take a copy of our general standard AS WELL AS the draft standard for your particular color variety. You can find both of them at the Marans Chicken club web site.
