Hello all. I have a hutch that is approx. 5' x 3' and wood on 3 sides there is a divider in the middle so there is room for two rabbits. Each side has a floor space as well as a small area where they can get up off of the wire mesh when they'd like. I'm planning on breeding my two rabbits soon and am concerned about where the female where be able to make a nest for the kits. I have plenty of hay I could put in there. Here are some pictures. Any advice is very much appreciated

You should pick up a nest box for your doe. You can get them at feed store or even use a cardboard box that will fit (but the rabbit may eat the cardboard). A nest box would be safest for the baby rabbits.

Also should i be keeping their food/water on the wire mesh part or on the upper rest area. as of now its been on the upper layer buy they seem to keep knocking it off

I made a nestbox from cardboard when I had my Flemish giants and it worked perfectly. should I put the nestbox on the bottom wire mesh layer so no babies can fall? I'm not sure exactly what ill be able to fit on the top layer

here are two nestboxes ive considered I dont know if I need small or large I'll be breeding a silver doe to a netherland dwarf buck

For some reason I could only see the one at petco but that is what I was talking about. I'm not sure about the size, but if you breeding dwarf rabbits then you don't want one too big that they can't get in and out easily. As far as the feed and water. I would put it and the nest box on the ground. Besides it already being knocked over when the babies start to venture out of the nest box themselves you want them to be able to reach the feed and water.

Once they are weaned I will be keeping them in a large pen in my house until they sell
