Questions about broodiness

Hello! I would like to know about signs of a broody hen! Recently i have a rir whos been sitting on eggs a little longer than she should, before that she would lay an egg then she would leave. But now she has been sitting on the 2 eggs that were marked for more than an hour (9 to 11 maybe even earlier than that). I would like to ask if this is the start of broodiness. But if its just what regular laying sounds like. Please let me know. (Disclaimer, she hasnt been making coos or any slunds for that matter, i showed her 2 eggs and she kept them inside of her. Also also, shes been a mother before )

A solid go to for me if they're quiet is if they tuck eggs under them when offered.

If she stays there overnight she's definitely broody.

A couple of nights on the nest is when I call them broody. And when they flatten out on the nest, growl and give you the stink eye when you come close.

A little update, she sat in the same spot until 2pm! I believe shes getting ready to hatch some eggs. But she doesnt seem ready YET though

When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?

If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.

Shes actually directly next to the coop! Shes been laying there since she was a pullet. And sure, why not? Shes super protective with chicks so ill be fine with a few more chicks around.

Is it a safe place for her to set?
Why not?
Space for more birds, dealing with the inevitable males, late in season.
