Hi my name is Aidan and I’ve been mainly incubating all of my turken eggs but one day I walked into the normal egg laying spot and one of my turkens was puffing up her feathers and making a growling sound of course she still let me pet her but then I realized she was broody and had around 15 eggs under her but then I gave her 6 more from other nests and she took them ! I’ve never had a hen go broody more than about 3 days but she’s been there for about a week and a half I’d have to say and I’d like to let her try and hatch them. Now when they do hatch do I need to give her and the chicks a temporary cage ? And can I just take the chicks from her or will she be sad I have seen sad chickens before just kinda slump around and look mopey and I don’t want her to be like that. Or should I just take the eggs now and move them straight to the incubator ? Some picture of the turkens below

Did you mark the eggs she was sitting on, or conversely, the 6 you added? You shouldn't have added more - it's likely too many for her to cover so you'll have more duds, and it'll also cause a staggered hatch, so she will abandon the nest without hatching the newer eggs. I would remove those if possible and/or be prepared to incubate the rest of the way and brood them yourself, as they won't be part of her brood.

Do you want her to raise the chicks? If not (i.e. you want to sell them as day old chicks), then incubate the eggs yourself and break the broodiness. I would not make her waste her time and effort setting on them, only to steal her babies upon hatch.
