Some others had mentioned that they give their chicks (maybe just the sick ones) Poly-vi-sol which is a baby vitamin. It sounds like I shouldn't give it to all the chicks right off the bat.

I think just some eggs or diluted Gatorade.

(sorry if I'm hijacking, but I do have the same Q) What about the grogel? what are the prevailing opinions on that? The probiotics interest me, just curious...... I get that you can get the vits from lots of sources, but the grogel plus b interests me. I did read somewhere a little yogurt could work instead, anyone tried that?

As to the yogurt, I have heard that you can use it, but only in small amounts to prevent pasty butt.
