Hi all!!
I have some questions about Chicks! (The breed is: Kaber!) I'm in the Phillipines by the way.
I'll just list them here if u don't mind
Any answers is appreciated!
1) I have some 1 year old+ chickens but not yet any chicks, I'd like to buy some Kaber chicks but I don't know much about them.
Does anyone have some information about them?
2)Is it ok to put them in a chickfriendly cage that has enough space and put it outside, without heating lamp or mother(its sunny season now) The chicks will be either 5 days old, or 2 weeks.
3) If my Native phillipine hen hatched all her eggs, is it possible to put my kaber chicks under her? Will she addopt her and accept her or will she kill them? Kaber chicks are a bit bigger then her own.
4) Is raising chicks for meat worth it? Because ill feed them mainly feeds, i can't let them free-range to much.
Is the cost going to be too high to raise ur own? Maybe its better to just buy boring meat in the store, please tell me something about that.
5)I've seen them at a farmer then is selling them and they have all sort of colours, is it true that the Roosters have darker feathers? and the Hen's have a light coat? If i buy some chicks I prefer Hen's , because i already have a nice roo.
.. That's it for now, hehe.
Thanks for reading~
