questions about clipping and filing Silkies' nails and beak

I've read about clipping and filing nails and beaks on Silkies "till you get the right shape." But what exactly is the right shape? what do you want the final product to look like after clipping nails and filing beaks?

So it looks natural. Look up pictures of silkies. You want an even, rounded shape on the beak. The nails I keep trimmed, but I do a good trim about a month before the show and file any jagged edges before I bathe.

I use toenail/fingernail clippers to trim beaks. If showing a cock, remember to keep the spurs maintained.
