Questions about cross breeding

Is there anywhere where you can search to see if specific breeds of chickens have been crossed with another specific breed? I'm sure most breeds have been crossed at some point, so it would be helpful to see what others have already done before deciding if it's something I want to do.
Any good reading recommendations about cross breeding that I may not have found yet?

I guess colored eggs. My current favorite breed is pita pinta asturiana. They have a great personality, lay well, look nice. I was thinking of crossing them with an Ameraucana.

That's a good idea, get some good quality, purebred stock and try it out.
Real ameraucana will cost about $15 or more each and the come in specific colors.
