Questions about first starting to lay

Is it OK to eat the first eggs my chickens lay when they are 17 weeks?

We have eaten all of our eggs except the ones that are laid without shells. Since I first posted this we are getting about 4 eggs a day. We are pretty sure who is laying and who isn't so we are waiting. We aren't sure who is laying the shell less ones.

Thank you it is very eggciting

As long as the shells are normal and intact, they are the same as any other egg. It's perfectly fine to eat them. Do not eat soft shelled eggs or eggs that are cracked.

We have eaten some of ours that have been cracked as long as the membrane hasn't been broken. Why shouldn't you eat them?
