Call Ideal before everything closes, there's gotta be a tracking number on the chick box, so SOMEBODY knows where your keets are. Unless your post office is open on Saturday it's not looking good for those poor keets right now. I cannot believe the hassles you are going thru (or those poor keets!). I feel bad for them, and even worse for you and for your stress level !!!

I've asked them before and they don't put tracking numbers on the box, they said it would be here within 72 Hours. They shipped them on Wednesday so they "Should" get here tomorrow.
My stress level is at a all time high right now, this has happened before and everything was OK.
Just pray I don't open another box of dead chicks! I don't think I could do that ever again.

I just got keets at 3 AM today from Privitt Hatchery in NM. Their orders are shipped out on Wed. & I get my birds roughly a day & a half later at northern US border.

I had to get more as got 6 earlier this spring & 5 out of 6 were males which now fight constantly until bloody. And they have unlimited space......

Oh wow, that's such a long time for those babies to be in a box without food or water, yikes.

Out here in CA, when I shipped keets down to deb (perchie.girl) in So Cal, I was required to call the State Shipping Department in Sacramento and get a Live Chick Shipping Confirmation Number prior to shipping them, and I had to provide that number to the Post Master as I hand over the box. I'm thinking that the person you spoke to at Ideal has got to be misinformed, there HAS TO BE SOME WAY to track those keets. They are not coming via regular mail, so there has to be some sort of ID or tracking number on them that can be looked up... period. I'd call back and ask to speak to a supervisor if I were you.

I'm biting my tongue and trying not to comment on the lack of professionalism that you've had to deal with. I really really hope you do not open a box of dead or almost dead keets WHEN YOU FINALLY GET THEM and then have to spend a bunch of time, effort and stress nursing them back to health, possibly losing several in the process.

I am just shaking my head here. I feel really really bad for you, but I do SO appreciate you sharing your experience and keet purchase issues with us.

I did order a few lavender but they didn't have buffs. I wish you the best of luck getting your keets ! Sounds like the same procedure I went thru trying to get live mille fleurs last year ! SO FRUSTRATING ! I just love your smiley !
