My first question is I ordered hatching eggs from Metzer Farms so do I have to let them sit for 24 hours before I put them in a incuabtor? Also I have a DIY incubator so the temperature goes from a 101 degrees to 98 degrees, what should I try to keep it a 100.5 or 99.5? What should the humidity be at? How many times a day should O turn the eggs? last question, what should the temperature and humidity be at the last three days? Thanks

Have you candles the eggs to see if the air cell is attached?
I don't have the eggs yet also I don't even know how to tell if the air cell is attached. This will be my first time hatching eggs so I don't really know anything. That is why I was asking if I should let them sit for 24 hours before I put them in the incuabtor. They should be here in two days though

It sounds like this is your first time incubating, so I would go ahead and read this article I wrote, which will answer all of your questions:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/the-beginners-guide-to-incubation.73350/

But, to give you some general answers before you read, yes, you want to let the eggs rest a day before you set them.

Temperature depends on whether your incubator is still air or forced air. If it's still air, 101.5. If it's forced air, 99.5

Humidity during the main part of incubation varies depending on a number of factors. Read the article for the more in depth info on this.

Turn the eggs at least three times a day, more is better, try to shoot for an odd number.

For the last three days, humidity should be around 65%. Temperature again is depending on your incubator, but just leave it at whatever you had it for the first 25 days.
