Questions about incubating Guinea Fowl Eggs!

Hi hutchel I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I will come along but i've had guineas two years now and they hatched keets outside this year and another hen is sittinng on some that ought to be done any day now.
When I was reading about bringing the eggs in most people seemed to agree that messing with the eggs will make the guinea give up on that spot. I can somewhat attest to that as mine were laying out under a tree and I was getting a couple of them every so often but leaving a couple marked ones, they eventually quit laying there and picked a spot much further from the house. Id say if you think they are in a decent spot let em go for it. :D
Sounds like you have a coop and already established chickens so what are you worries for the winter? Do you keep them cooped up for the winter or do you think you have too many now?
I have 3 that are over a year old and one that we hatched in an incubator who is about 2 month, the older ones still don't like him. Then I have about 13 one month that are still by themselves.

hi everyone,
im just wondering if anyone here has (or knows how to) incubate duck eggs with guinea fowl eggs, or is this just not possible. cos I wanna get both ducks and guinea fowl this spring and wanna hatch them all out together.

thanks for any help :)

Look up their incubating temps and humidities. If they are very similar I would think it would be ok.

I am wondering if I have a lost cause. We were expecting a hard freeze Friday night and my guinea hens also happened to get scared off their nests. They didn't go back to set and roosted back at the barn with the others. I took the eggs hoping to keep them warm and get them into an incubator. I didn't get the incubator until Sunday and put the eggs in last night. I have no idea how long the hens were setting, but I did find broken eggs in the nest. Am I too late to possibly get any to hatch? Was hoping to get a good hatch out of them, darn Iowa weather!!

Cant hurt to try! Don't put any cracked ones in there and then follow the rules of incubating guinea eggs you find by googling. They are pretty resilient so you might get lucky. :D Let us know!

Hi all I've recently put in my first guinea fowl eggs that I've got from a friend. I've had the eggs in for 13 days and I didn't put any water.in for humidity so it was running in the 30sive since talked to a friend and they have said that I should have a humidity at around 50-55. I've put a small container of water in and it's now in the high 50s and low 60s. Just wondering how high it can go without affecting the egg as I'm not home all day to monitor.Cheers

The majority of the guinea eggs seem to be growing too with that air sack at the top of the egg so they seemed to he doing fine before I added the water for humidity.
