Hi hutchel I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I will come along but i've had guineas two years now and they hatched keets outside this year and another hen is sittinng on some that ought to be done any day now.
When I was reading about bringing the eggs in most people seemed to agree that messing with the eggs will make the guinea give up on that spot. I can somewhat attest to that as mine were laying out under a tree and I was getting a couple of them every so often but leaving a couple marked ones, they eventually quit laying there and picked a spot much further from the house. Id say if you think they are in a decent spot let em go for it.
Sounds like you have a coop and already established chickens so what are you worries for the winter? Do you keep them cooped up for the winter or do you think you have too many now?
I have 3 that are over a year old and one that we hatched in an incubator who is about 2 month, the older ones still don't like him. Then I have about 13 one month that are still by themselves.
