and have set it up to my liking. But, it won't hold temperature I have it set at 99.5 and it has been up and down constantly from 98.3 to 101.5 and it's just keeps shifting between these temps up and down. Also have temperature and humidity reader inside it stays 98.9 to 99.2 it's up and down as well. Humidity is around 57-63 up and down.. I'm curious as to why this is happening keep In mind it is brand new and has only been running around 6-7 hrs. But, seems like 6hrs would be plenty of time for it to steady out.

How temp stable is the room the incubator is in? It comes programed for a room between 70 to 80 degrees. If you are incubating in a room that is cooler or warmer, you will need to adjust for that. You may also need to adjust the Ctrl Rng feature. It controls how big a swing in temp the thermostat will allow. I find the 5* it's programed with is too much.

Also, with humidity, it's more stable if you fill the inner most channel and adjust from there. Remember that humidity is not about the amount of water you are adding, but the amount of surface area that is covered by the water. The outer most tray will give you a higher reading, but it also dries out more quickly.

Ok thank you what should I keep my humidity at to get a good hatch rate or does this matter. Right now it is staying in between 59-63 Humidity should i lower this to 40-50 or am I in a safe range where I'm at now? Also I have the temp steady on 99.7 right now i have it set at 99.5 But, it's stuck on 99.7 and my other temperature gauge inside is at

I ended up resetting it all up in a different location to see if this helps. I also turned the Temp cal. Up to 0.5 °f because, it's not wanting to get over 98. So degrees. I redone my water and it's around 45-50 humidity and temp is set to 99.5 although it's not wanting to climb past 98. So.

The temp calibration is what you use to get the thermostat to match your secondary thermometer inside the incubator. You may also need to adjust the OSPslope. That controls the range that the heater reduces output. It comes preset to reduce power when the temp is within .75* of the set temp. You may need to adjust that to .5*.

Part of what makes this such a great incubator. You can tweak the controls for optimum results in a range of conditions easily.
I realize this is from last year, but I hope you are still subscribed to this thread....how do you adjust the OSC slope and the temp cal? I guess that didn't come with my incubator and am having a hard time with the same things. My Nurture Right 360 is so much easier!
