Questions about my quail

Hi Everyone,

Today my quail laid an egg for the first time since she moved here 2 weeks ago (she is 8 months old right now). I normally clean her coop on Saturdays but I am not sure if I should clean it today since she might not like the change... Also, I sometimes put her in a puppy playpen during the day but will she be okay with this, or would she want to stay near her egg?

Any answers are appreciated

One more question: How long can quail eggs survive without heat... I know chicken eggs can last up 7 - 10 days but I am not so sure about quail eggs!

Pretty sure it's the same but fertility drops after 7 days unless they are kept very cool. I read an article somewhere online about refridgerating quail eggs to extend their fertility but I can't remember the temperature they used. I think people generally work off no older than 7 days old when the eggs are set.
