I just read permethrin is good for treating lice on chickens and wanted to know if I need to get a certain brand or what percentage concentrate I need to get? I suspect my chickens have lice, I’ve seen some in the nesting boxes and I see them grooming a lot. Also wanted to make sure it’s safe to treat their pen while they are still in there or do I need to move them? How long should I treat them with it?

I agree. I also use poultry dust in the nest boxes which also has permethrin in it. Treat weekly for 3 or 4 weeks as it does not kill the pests eggs but will kill them as they hatch out. There is no egg withdrawal period. You can use the concentrate also mixed with water. Good luck...
