I have raised several batchs of pheasant chicks.
They are very skittish as they get older.
They will also drowned themselves if they are given water
in a regular chicken waterer. You will have to rocks in their
waterer.  They are not very smart when it comes to get a
drink.  They need to be watered with a quail waterer. The dish on the bottom has a smaller opening so they can't get
their little heads in the water.  I had some sleep in their water dish once and they drowned.

just need some extra care.  
.  They also do better if you feed them chick grower for a few weeks longer then a chicken chick.  
They also need lots of room for everyone because they will kill each other.
