questions about poultry netting and hoop houses

So my next question is, with a 16 foot panel, how wide does the base have to be to allow an arc of around 5-6 feet at the center of the hoop house (in order to get in there without having to bend in half while working? (Did I phrase that so as it makes sense? lol)

I built mine 8 feet wide and it ends up being 73 inches high in the center.

I built my coop in the end of my hoophouse. I used utility panels instead of cattle panels because the openings are only 2"x4". Chicken wire closes the coop the the rest of the hoophouse, and 2"x4" welded wire fence closes off the back to the outside. I later ran plastic netting around the bottom to keep chicks in.

how big are those panels? It seems a lot bigger then mine, mine were 9 foot panels.

I was actually wondering about this, too. I was given a hoop building/hoop carport I want to make into a broiler pen. It was over 20' long and about 14' wide. More than enough for about 40 broilers to grow out on grass. I was wondering what to use as fencing, too. I was going to get the aviary netting (cloth) to put over the top and then put 1x1" mesh 4' up around the bottom.

Same length as cattle panels: 16'. Maybe it's a regional thing? Panels around here are sold in 16' lengths. The downside with the security panels I used is that they are HEAVY! I can't lift one by myself.

Our hoop house has a 20' arc, so I cut an extra panel in half to make up the shortfall, you can kind of see that on the right side. So, the coop is 9'x10, and about 6'-7' tall in the center.
