So this last week I went to the Puyallup Fair. Being that I now have chickens (flock of 8 plus 2 call ducks) I spent a lot more time looking at the poultry entries.
I think I fell in love with Seramas. So, I really want to get a few to add to our family.
I have never hatched eggs before. Would it be better to buy eggs from a breeder and hatch them? Or should I look for someone selling pullets in pairs?
I live in Washington and winters can be cold. Currently my flock stay in a coop in my backyard. By winter, they will be moved into the garage with a door access to their outside pen. Should I keep my Seramas inside? Seperate from the flock? In the garage in a rabbit hutch?
My current flock is 15-20 weeks 2 Red sexlinks, 2 copper marans, 1 welsummer, 1 salmon faverolle, 1 RIR, and 1 white americauna, and 2 call ducks.
