After the two ducklings hatched I had a 100watt buld over the brooder the temp was 90. I felt bad that the light was so bright so I put a black light reptile heat lamp over them. The temp is reading 90. Is this type of light ok?
Can they be taken out of the brooder and held? If so when and when can they go outside for a little bit to walk around?
When should I introduce a tiny tub to swim in? Is it about 5 weeks?

One of the ducklings still has some dried membrane on his head I tried to wet a cloth and wipe it off but it won't come off. Will it eventually come off or can it cause a problem with bacteria etc? It is dried on pretty well.

that's okay to use that lamp.

ups, better wait till a month to make sure they have a better *body/self defense*.

you can do it about 2 weeks old, my POD can swim about that age (if i'm not forget

), you can give them tub to swim or not at all, they won't complaint you if about not having swimming pool

but yes they love swimming.

try to *wetting* the membran using warm water (not hot!) and gently perhaps using nail wipe it out. let me sure first, membran? or egg shell? warm water will help unsticky it and it'll be wipe out easily.
