My Wyze cam broke so I put in an Arlo, still getting used to the new interface.
I’d like to see how others have the detection set up, as I always get recordings of every chicken movement, draining the battery. But obviously I’d like to be notified if there’s an intruder. I wish it would distinguish animal species ha! Then I set it to just notify me of people but Mr Arlo thinks chickens faces are people so I stopped that too. So really, I can look at live view or watch recordings but not be notified at time of “event”…when it could be too late.
Suggestions welcome

Thanks.

You can reduce the sensitivity which may help.
In practice I have cameras that only come on just for night. I have some cameras in all the time that I keep plugged in. And I bought a spare battery so that when I go out to the coop I switch over the battery to one that is charged.
Works for me.

I’ll check sensitivity settings. I don’t have a spare battery or even know if mine has that option. It’s an essential 2 XL. The main recordings are triggered through the night when I want it most. Every scratch or stretch is recorded lol
Thank you.

Hmmm. Mine are way less sensitive than that though I do remember I turned the sensitivity down.
